Compact dual-frequency filtering power divider using E-shaped resonator

A novel planar dual-frequency filtering power divider using E-shaped dual-mode resonator is presented. The circuit is composed of the couple lines and resonators instead of conventional transmission lines, which can be considered as an integration of a conventional divider and a dual-band filter. The structure can provide better isolation, dual passband, direct current (DC) block characteristic and compact size. The design is validated by experimental results on a 1.57/3.5GHz dual-frequency power divider. Good agreements between the simulated results and experimental results are obtained.
