Inthis paper, implementation ofthehighcount rate gamma-ray spectrometric system withNaI(TZ) detector ispresented. Thesystem supports count rates upto4.2105pulsesls. Themain focus ofthepaperisonimplementation ofalgorithms fordetection andcorrection ofapileup effect that iscommonathigh count rates. Thesystem isimplemented onanFPGAplatform anditistested and verified using 228Th inpresence of'3Cs.Experimental results show that thesystem iscapable ofreducing pileup effects andimproving resolution oftheenergy spectrum.
