A study on saving effects of energy regenerated from electric train

The first ESS(energy storage system, here after) was installed on the track of Daejeon HRT in 2010. When the substations are on/off, the energy saving characteristics of the ESS field tests are performed. And this paper shows the results of reducing the number of substation by the ESS.
