Target alignment in active projection system based on vision feedback

Based on structured light vision, this paper studies target alignment control for an active projection system. The configuration and image model of the active projection system with vision are analyzed. An alignment strategy for projection contents and the target is presented to pre-warp images based on vision features, by which the projection figures approach the target figures iteratively without system calibration. The image processing and features extraction algorithms are presented for segmenting the projection and target figures, and then the relative position is estimated. Experimental results verify the proposed method.
