CURRICULUM DESIGN ADAPTATION, EXECUTION AND MONITORING IN MOODLE

Nowadays Internet is full of shareable learning objects that can be (re)used for curriculum design and composition of e-learning courses. But the ultimate goal is not to consider these objects in an isolated way, but to assemble them to get new synergies when designing new courses. In this paper, we show that AI planning technology offers very good capabilities for curriculum adaptation and can be combined with current learning management systems, such as Moodle. We introduce myPTutor, an architecture that integrates plan adaptation techniques with execution, monitoring and plan validation within Moodle. We aim at providing an automated intuitive mechanism for both teachers and students to manage course designs and enhance plan adaptation when flaws are detected during execution.
