The study on how to remove the shadow area for WSN based indoor disaster monitoring system

Nowadays, due to the natrual disaters caused by the rapid climate changes and artificial disasters such as terror, there has been a rapid increase in the number of damages to people and propertiess. Many nations have been operating a disaster communication network to decrease such damages. The disaster communication network can safely rescue the survivors, but it takes a lot of time to identify the location of the survivors and the disaster situation near the survivors. In order to reduce this time, the survivors themselves should be able to identify their location and the surrounding disaster situation information. In this paper, we are focused on the disaster situations that may occur in complicated and large buildings constructed based on the development of architectural engineering. The indoor disaster monitoring system was designed based on the Li-Fi technology and Bluetooth Low Energy technology to minize the damages to people and properies in the indoor disaster situations, and this system was named as the Li-Fi and wireless sensor networks-based monitoring system. Through this system, the survivor can communicate with the sensor nodes to decrease one’s exposure to the disaster situations, and, thereby, find a safe exit or evacuate to a safe location to be on standby for rescue.
