Application of a Pipeline External Corrosion Direct Assessment Methodology to a High-pressure Pipeline

The method of Pipeline External Corrosion Direct Assessment Methodology(ECDA)propsed by NACE was used to assess the safety of a high-pressure ethylene pipeline. The keys point of using ECDA lies in collecting accurate and overall data of the pipeline.More attention should be paid to the investigation of the building of,and occupation by,the buried pipelines before surveying pipeline segments. To keep it more reliable to assess the buried pressure pipeline,it is necessary to refet to relevant standards and codes and adopt the relevant record sheets and comprehensive appraisal systems software.
