Biobetriebe im Vergleich – eine fünfjährige Analyse

In a comparison of farming enterprises, the financial accounts for five years (2002/03 – 2006/07) were evaluated for a homogeneous group of 113 organic farms using the computer program “AgriCon”. Furthermore, the economic year of 2006/07 was analysed for 200 organic farming enterprises. In both of these analyses, the farms were grouped with regard to their type of enterprise. This comparison of several years turned out that the profit and the capital of the enterprises increased during the analysed period of time. On average of all farms and years, an annual profit of 43.000€/worker and 17.400€ capital growth were made. There were significant differences between the various types of enterprises as well as between the years: the intensive root cropping enterprises gained the best results, whereas the cropping and pig farms gained the worst.
