Study on calibration technology for wind tunnel balance based on statistic process control

There are too many steps in the calibration process for wind tunnel balance and many factors affecting the calibration result.It is difficult to insure calibration quality by verifying the result after the event.In order to control calibration process and ensure calibration quality,statistic process-control method was applied,and the calibration process of wind tunnel balance was analyzed.Key factors that influence the calibration result were put forward.Custom calibration software was developed to control the calibration process,and the method of verifying a result after-event was changed into before-event instead.Application results demonstrated that the statistic process-control insured the controlling of calibration process and improved the calibration quality and worked efficiency.
