The Practitioner's Guide to Statistics and Lean Six Sigma for Process Improvements

D OUG MONTGOMERY has a new quality-oriented textbook out. However, this one has new coauthors and is oriented to a different audience. While the co-authors have degrees and backgrounds in industrial engineering, it appears that their current roles in the banking industry and the business school set the direction of this book: an introduction to all facets of quality without requiring an extensive background in statistics. In fact, the first probability/ statistical equations do not appear until around page 75. The book is targeted toward non-engineering and non-statistics students.
