On the stiffness of screw presses

This paper analyzes deformations arising in screw presses and gives a formula for the theoretical-stiffness of these machines. Furthermore, considering contact deformation, oil film deformation and foundation deformation, this paper defines the real-stiffness of screw presses, proposes its analytical method and derives its mathematical expression. Additionally, an intelligent experimental device used for measuring the real-stiffness has been developed, and the real-stiffness of Models J53-400, J58-160, and J53-60 screw presses has been obtained by the device.
