Simulation Research on Small Radius Curve-passing Dynamics Performances of Tilting Trains with Self-steering Radial Bogies

This paper established a tilting train model equipped with self-steering radial bogies via simulation software SIMPACK and introduced how to build it,then compared and analyzed its dynamics performances along small curve-passing radius of 300?m.The analytic results shaved that attack angle of wheelsets,wear index,wheel/rail lateral force and derail coefficient of self-steering radial bogies were much lower than those of normal bogies not only on maximal value but also on variation amplitude.Self-steering bogies with application to tilting trains still had good efforts on small curve-passing.
