특수 주조 공법을 이용한 자동차 경량 엔진 부품 개발

Automotive light weight part using alloy ADC12 was fabricated by modified HPD with vacuum and partial squeeze method. The effect of vacuum and partial squeeze time lag on the macro and microstructure was investigated, especially on the distribution of porosities and shrinkages. The possibility of application of additional heat treatment, those are T5,T6 was also examined by testing mechanical properties including hardness, tensile strength, elongation, impact energy. The result shows that applying the vacuum and optimum partial squeeze condition could make the part free from coarse filling defects and thus T6 application possible.
