High‐intensity focused ultrasound applied to the placenta using a toroidal transducer: a preliminary ex‐vivo study

To demonstrate in an ex‐vivo model the feasibility of applying high‐intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) using a toroidal transducer for the creation of placental lesions.
