SUMMARY Supernumerary teeth are odontogenic anomalies characterized by the excessive number of tooth. Although etiology is actually unk- nown, some theories have been projected about the development of supernumerary teeth. Nowadays, the theory that accepts the hype- ractivity of the dental lamina as the origin is supported. Supernumerary teeth may cause severe clinical problems. These problems may be impaction of one or two incisor teeth, malposition of central incisor teeth, midline diastema, and space deficiency in the dental arch. Surgical and orthodontic approach may be sugges- ted in the treatment of such clinical problems. In this case report, treatment of two patients who had supernumerary teeth at the region of lower incisors is presented.
