Chiral effects in the scattering of electrons by oriented H2O and H2S

We solve the scattering equations for electron scattering by H2O and H2S, including the static, exchange and spin-orbit interactions. The spin-dependent scattering amplitudes are used to calculate chiral observables for oriented molecules at electron energies less than 10 eV. The effect is of order 10-3, but larger values are possible in the region of a minimum in the differential cross section.
