Wireless Internet Mobile Telephone System & Method

PURPOSE: A radio Internet mobile phone system and a method thereof are provided to allow a user to freely communicate through an Internet phone call incessantly even while moving any time and anywhere like the CDMA mobile phone technique. CONSTITUTION: Portable mobile Internet phone terminals, PDAs or notebooks(10,11,12) transmit or receive an Internet phone voice data packet to make an Internet phone or other image data packet or general data packet while moving to an IMS(Internet Mobile Station). IBSSs(Internet base station server)(21-29) are disposed as a cell form in a service area which wirelessly communicates with the IMS. An IMSCS(Internet Mobile Switching Center Server)(50), an Internet mobile phone switching center server, manages the plurality of IBSSs(21-29) located in the wide area constructed as the plurality of cells, is connected to the IBSSs(21-29) of the pertinent area through an Internet network(30). The IMSCS(50) requests a phone number of the IMS visiting the IBSSs(21-29) and an ESN(Electronic Serial Number) data, registers the phone number and an Internet address, authenticates the IMS or assigns the Internet address of a call-originating or call-receiving IMS together with a communication channel, and provides the Internet address to the IMS so that the IMS can make an IP packet communication by using it. In addition, the IMSCS(50) identifies a phone number of a general phone(PSTN) region originated from the IMS or a phone number of a general mobile phone number region and connects it to a GWS(Gate Way Server)(60) so that the GWS(60) can make a phone call to a general phone or a general mobile phone(80) through the PSTN(70).
