Microcomputers and the Dynamics of Image Making and Social Life in Three Art Classrooms

AbstractA descriptive study of computer use in two elementary and one high school art classroom was undertaken. The study focused upon the process of production and the social dynamics of computer-assisted art in school. The social conditions of the art classroom were reflected in and influenced by the use of computers as art media. The imagery emerged in relation to student interactions, growth and attitudes. Also, the peculiarities of computer graphics functions in general and the available software and hardware were vital to the students’ art.
