Steady State Analysis of Wireless Power Transfer System with Rectifier-Load under DCM

The wireless power transfer system in practical applications usually contains a rectifier-load, which may work under the continuous conduction mode (CCM) or discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The system performance cannot be described accurately with only fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA) model, especially when the system works under DCM. In this paper, a time domain analysis model of series-series wireless power transfer (WPT) system is proposed. The proposed method establishes six states modeling in one period under DCM in order to achieve high accuracy for describing system steady state waveforms. With the proposed time domain analysis model, the steady-state waveforms under DCM can be predicted and the parameters can be optimized for higher efficiency operation. Simulations are created to verify the accuracy of the proposed method and the effectiveness of efficiency improvement.
