Control of a multi-motor drive based on five-phase tubular PM actuators for positioning systems

This paper describes a multi-motor drive based on two five-phase tubular permanent magnet actuators for positioning systems. A proximate time-optimal positioning control scheme is presented and the behavior of the drive is assessed by means of experimental tests.
