A 480 MHz variable rate QPSK demodulator for direct broadcast satellite

A two-chip set integrates all functions required to demodulate and decode a 480 Mhz QPSK signal at data rates from 10 to 85 Mb/s. By optimizing the system as a whole and exploiting feedback between the two chips implementation is efficient and cost-effective.
