Static and Dynamic Stiffness of Presses and some Effects on the Accuracy of Workpieces

Lately special efforts are made to improve the accuracy of elements which are produced by forming processing. Thereby the accuracy of elements is influenced by the stiffness of the forming machine, the tool, the shape of the workpiece and its material. This contribution displays the influence of stiffness of the forming machine, which can be catched hold of measurements on one hand and on the other hand with the aid of the Finite-Elements-Method and with the help of a computer.
