Collecting and assessing collaborative requirements

Within evaluation frameworks such as the CLEF evalu ation platform, many people are involved in different eva luation tasks such as organizing the task, creating topics, manag ing document collections, and handling different participants an d submission. It also includes the selection of measures and run the final evaluations. In some of these stages of the evaluat ion process, there may be a need for collaborative information h andling procedures. In order to identify some of the needs and requirements for collaboration, we investigated thr ee different domains. This paper presents identified needs for c ollaborative activities that may occur within an interactive eva luation platform such as in the European Promise (Participative Rese arch labOratory for Multimedia and Multilingual Informat ion Systems) project. Following a user centered design, collecte d requirements have been assessed using a realistic mock-up scenar io. General Terms Documentation, Design, Experimentation
