Establishing an Educational Game Development Model: From the Experience of Teaching Search Engine Optimization

Thisarticledescribeshowdifferentliteratureshavesuggestedthepositiveroleofeducationalgames instudents’learning,butitcanbehardtofindanexistinggameforstudentlearning.Somelecturers maytrytodevelopagamefortheircourses,buttherewerenotmanyeffectivemodelsforeducational boardgamedevelopment.Theauthorshaveformedateamfordevelopingagamewiththepurpose ofteachingSearchEngineOptimization(SEO)inanundergraduatecourse,andobservedthedesign meetingsandthegametrialsessions.Theyhavedevelopedaspiraleducationalgamedevelopment modelbasedontheobservationandthegamedeliverable,andhaveprovidedothersuggestionsfor developingeducationalgamesbasedonthestudents’anddesigners’feedback.
