Study on the interaction between the deformation characteristics of gravity structure and the surrounding soil

In order to study the reasonable displacement calculation mode of gravity structure, and explore the influence of surrounding soils on the stress and deformation of structure, three calculation modes are established in this paper to analyze the stress and deformation of structure, which are the finite element method (FEM), the limit equilibrium method (LEM) and the elastic bearing method (EBM). The research shows that the calculation results of LEM method is relatively dangerous, while that of the latter two methods are close and more delicate. On this basis, the influence of the surrounding soil on the stress and deformation of structure is studied and the influences of different types of soil stressed on different position of gravity structure are summarized. The conclusion can provide valuable reference for engineering practice.
