Modern delayed coker pilot plant

A new process for delayed coking has been developed. This advanced design is shown to be operational over a broad range of temperature, pressure and flow-rate conditions. The analytical capabilities are presented. Reliable experimental data have been collected over different processing conditions on a variety of petroleum feedstocks. The piping and control features simulate commercial coker operation. Raw coke analysis is discussed - giving a complete characterization of the gas and liquid products and the raw and processed coke. Sophisticated computer process-control and data-logging provide accurately timed, precise control over any time span.
