PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL TWO STAY TWO STRAY DI SDN 34 KOTO RAWANG KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning using the model two stay two stray in class IV SDN 34 Koto Rawang, South Coastal District. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final exam cycle. Subject of research is the fourth grade students of SDN 34 Koto Rawang, totaling 33 people. The research instrument used is the observation of student activity sheets, observation sheets teaching activities of teachers, students' test results, field notes, and cameras. Based on the results of student learning activity observation sheet in cycle I and II, obtained the percentage of student activity expression in the first cycle of 56.06% increased to 78.79% in the second cycle, the activity of a group of students to complete the task in the first cycle increased to 57.58% 81.82% in the second cycle. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of students who reach KKM in the first cycle increased 54.54% in the second cycle into 75.75%. This means learning social studies using models of two stay two stray can increase the activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 34 Koto Rawang. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that teachers can use the model two stay two stray in learning to improve the activity and student learning outcomes.
