120-GHz-band antenna technologies for over-10-Gbps wireless data transmission

Millimeter-wave wireless links are attracting a great deal of interest for achieving a 10-Gbit/s data rate, and a 120-GHz-band wireless link has already succeeded in transmitting 10-Gbit/s data. One of the key components of the 120-GHz-band wireless link is a broadband antenna. The antenna specifications for outdoor links, indoor links, and inter-IC communications differ depending on each application. This paper presents the 120-GHz-band wireless link technologies and antenna technologies that have been used in the 120-GHz-band wireless links for outdoor, indoor, and inter-IC applications.
