X‐ray TV camera at 4.5 nm

An imaging CCD (charge coupled device) camera for soft x‐ray detection has been constructed. The principle used is the conversion of x‐rays to visible light in a GdO2S:Tb screen which covers the CCD surface. The achieved detective quantum efficiency was about 9% at the wavelength λ=4.5 nm.
