On- and off-grid laboratory test setup for hydrogen production with solar energy in nordic conditions

Renewable energy production, such as solar and wind power, require energy storage systems because of their intermittent nature. Hydrogen is potential candidate to store energy, because it has high-energy content capacity also in long term and it is possible to build affordable large-scale energy storages based on hydrogen. This paper studies solar power and water electrolyser co-operation and system designing.
