Parameter calculation and simulation of turbogenerator internal faults in stator windings

All transients should be analyzed to protect rapidly turbogenerators from damage due to inner faults in stator windings. The air gap permeance concept and harmonic analysis method were used to calculate the parameters for turbogenerators with armature asymmetries and the eddy current effect in the turbogenerator solid rotor was considered. The transients are simulated using the multi loop method. The method was verified experimentally. A theoretical basis for studying the transients due to inner faults in turbogenerators and its protection schemes were given.
