Small-signal analysis using harmonic balance methods

A small-signal analysis method is described for piecewise-linear circuits that have periodic operating trajectories. The approach is general and accurate up through one-half the switching frequency. The method is oriented toward use in general computer simulation tools, and is demonstrated by comparisons with measurements from several circuits.<<ETX>>
