Will electronic information finally result in real resource sharing

Libraries are adapting very rapidly to the information age, but the infrastructure required makes it harder and harder to get that data. Access is much improved, but accessing data electronically increasingly requires more and more sophisticated software and hardware. And, at the same time and with the same resources, libraries are being asked to continue their twentieth-century role, i.e., building collections of books and journals and other types fo library materials. Thus, the dilemna is one of obtaining resources for this transition
