The invention discloses a substation visual operation method based on a virtual reality technology, which comprises the steps as follows: modeling a substation and generating a three-dimensional equipment scene of the substation; loading the three-dimensional equipment scene of the substation, searching charging topology node electric connection, and generating a charging topology model of the substation; analyzing the charging topology model of the substation, and calculating a charging topology node set plotted during charging in real time; and dynamically plotting a charging link of the charging topology node set and displaying the process of the charging. The substation visual operation method accurately and realistically displays states of field equipment and the environment, realistically and visually demonstrates the process of operation charging, and facilitates comprehensive examination of the field equipment at multiple angles by users.
