New Approach of Diagnosis by Timed Automata

TheDiscreteEventSystems (DES) is anonlineardynamic systemwithdiscrete state andevent evolution.Inthisarticle,weareinterestedinthediagnosisoffailureswithTimedAutomata.The proposedapproachisbasedontheoperatingtimeanditisapplicabletoanysystemwhosedynamic evolutiondependsnotonlyontheorderofdiscreteeventsbutalsoontheirperiodsasinindustrial processes. The most important part of this work is the construction of a diagnoser which uses observableseventstodetectandlocatethefaults.Wepresentonthelastpartofthisworkresultsof thestudyoftheperformanceofthediagnosisshowingthepowerofthisdiagnosticapproach.An implementationonahydraulicsystemismadetoillustratetheproposedsteps.Itputinevidencethe effectivenessofthisapproach.ThemodelofthesimulationphaseisdoneusingMatlab/Simulink /stateflow.
