A full CMOS voltage regulating circuit for bioimplantable applications

In this paper, we present the design of a voltage regulating circuit in a 0.18mum standard CMOS process. A full wave rectifier is designed to generate an unregulated dc voltage. A low drop out (LDO) series voltage regulator converts the unregulated voltage to a clean DC supply voltage. A new closed loop and very reliable power-on-reset circuit along with its design procedure is presented. The circuit is primarily for biomedical implants, but it is also suitable for other voltage regulator application
