This paper describes a framework development using system engineering concept for various space launch vehicles to assist engineers during mission design process. This design framework integrates many different functions and capabilities: data mining for estimation and optimization of initial values, data analysis of each module, sequential optimization of each module, entire optimization of all modules, and geometric 3D modeling of final configuration of target space launch vehicle. Furthermore, the tool was designed to accept and save input values from users, and run the optimization after being prepared. Alternatively, the user can load and run system-default values to know how exactly the framework works. The design framework was developed using a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment of MATLAB and 3D modeling using CATIA v5. With this space launch framework, the mission design for the rocket system targeted on the 700 x 700 km circular orbit has been successfully performed to demonstrate the efficiency of the framework.
