The aim of this study is to reveal that; terrorism is more common and much effective nowadays than in history, and it became an instrument of global race, used by states and interest groups without hesitation. To wipe out terrorism by shrinking its influence area, apart from political and military will, the task of media is also important and it must not be neglected. The way of making news about terrorism in media should not nurture and enlarge terrorism. Because, spreading fear among community by making sensational acts, as well as using media in a roundabout way to propagate and extend their organizations are two important purposes of terrorist organizations. The caution of media on this subject has a crucial importance. Although Turkey shares the same principals with western countries about media and terrorism, it seems that same attitude could not be developed towards sample terrorist incidents.
