This international forum invites scientists, teachers, researchers and lecturers to share their recent achievements in research and teaching, and findings in areas related to human-centered computer environments.
The conference unites the following three events: the 14th International Conference on Humans and Computers, the 12th International Symposium on Spatial Media, and the 3rd Conference on E-learning and Technical Communication. Following the traditions and experience of the earlier Conferences on Humans and Computers, this conference employs modern telecommunication technologies to hold teleconferences connecting participants in Aizu-Wakamatsu (The University of Aizu, Japan) with remote sites in Hamamatsu (The University of Shizuoka, Japan) and Duesseldorf (FHD: University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf, Germany) via the Internet. This innovative solution makes it possible for scientists to participate in the conference simultaneously from their respective universities.
The University of Aizu established a cooperative exchange by forming partnerships with universities and institutions overseas and by encouraging academic and research exchanges. The conference creates the necessary conditions to maintain international scientific contacts at the student level by offering a marvelous opportunity for the best university students to make their first scientific presentations while serving as a training ground for both Japanese and foreign students on their way to becoming scientists. Common discussions between world-leading researchers and students allow our students to learn how to conduct research, how to prepare results, how to present them to the public as well as how to proof the results of their achievements. We do hope that some students who have participated in this conference will maintain their cooperative relationship in the future.
