Heuristic Risk-Based Testing

As a tester, there are certain things you must do. Those things vary depending on the kind of project you're on, your industry niche, and so on. But no matter what else you do, your job includes finding important problems in the product. Risk is a problem that might happen. The more likely the problem is to happen, and the more impact it will have if it happens, the higher the risk associated with that problem. Thus, testing is motivated by risk.
