Method and system for detecting and displaying three-layer switching relationship among equipment

The invention relates to a method and a system for detecting and displaying a three-layer switching relationship among equipment. The method comprises that a server starts a task dispatcher, executes various collectors corresponding to different routing protocol types in the task dispatcher concurrently, acquires data of the three-layer switching relationship among equipment under various routing protocols, and sends the data to a client; and the client shows the data of the three-layer switching relationship among equipment under various routing protocols in the form of a topological graph. The method provided by the invention avoids a problem that a mode of reading the three-layer switching relationship in a routing table directly in three-layer topology discovery in the prior art and the efficiency is caused to be low because the routing table is too large, thereby improving the overall performance of a network management system. In addition, the three-layer switching relationship among equipment is allowed to be checked according to different protocol types when users check the topological graph in a topology displaying device of the client, thereby providing convenience for the users. Furthermore, the method and the system do not need additional hardware support, and only rely on MIB tables of the routing protocols, thereby being easy to implement.
