Optimization Techniques for Numerical Identification of Forging Parameters

For shortening and optimizing the design of forging processes, the Finite-Element-Method (FEM) gains more and more importance. Since non-measurable and insufficiently known parameters influence the FEM-results substantially, the method of Numerical Identification was developed for their determination. This paper presents the definition and the theoretical as well as the practical proof of the reliability of the method.
