Thermoelectrical energy harvesting system: Modelling, simulation and implementation

This paper presents a thermoelectrical energy harvesting system SPICE simulation that is using thermoelectrical generators (TEGs). The authors propose an improved TEG thermoelectrical model that takes into account the parameter variations. A specialized boost DC-DC converter is used to store the harvested energy into a Li-Ion rechargeable battery. An autonomous maximum power point tracking (MPPT) system that is able to harvest the maximum energy delivered by the TEG is proposed and simulated.
