ADAPTIVE CONTROL FOR PHB PRODUCTION

A new procedure for adaptive control design of PHB production by mixed culture is proposed. It consists of analytical derivation of the control low from unstructured model of the process. The process information includes on-line measurements of glucose and lactate concentrations in the reactor as well as unstructured model coefficients. Applicability of the proposed procedure is demonstrated by simulation investigations of open-loop control scheme, where the control input - glucose feed rate is calculated using different initial conditions of state variables and physico-chemical parameters.
