Connectivity investigation of mobile relays for next generation wireless systems

Mobile relaying, is a leading edge technology, considered as a good candidate in future deployment scenarios for coverage extension of legacy networks, better coverage of shadowed areas or coverage of ad hoc needs e.g. in cases of unpredictable/unknown events like accidents. The main goal behind the mobile relaying concept is to reduce deployment/maintenance costs of future networks. In this paper we present some initial results on some aspects of the mobile relay concept for two specific deployment scenarios.
