Experimental investigation and numerical simulation of solar semiconductive air-conditioning

A prototype of wind-cooled semiconductive air-conditioning was trial-produced and its performance was tested with different working currents, so that its operational parameters were obtained for different operational conditions. In the meantime, the numerical simulation of the prototype was performed, also. Its result was compared with that of experiment, showing good agreement with each other. By means of summarizing and comparing the method and result of both the experiment and numerical simulation, the influence of thermoelectric coefficient, ventilation capacity, and working current on the performance of the prototype was analyzed. It was shown by the analysis result that the numerical simulation method used in this paper could provide other method than practical testing for optimization designing solar semiconductive air-conditioning, so that the time-consumption and cost could be saved for the designing.
