TOP LEVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ADVANCED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING INFORMATION REPOSITORY

The collection and management of data associated with the design and development of large complex systems is a critical activity supporting the systems engineering process. This paper describes the top level requirements for an advanced data repository supporting systems engineering activities in the development of large, complex, computer-based systems. The repository requirements are addressed in three categories: repository functional requirements, non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, dependability, scalability), and implementation standards.
