A wireless USB host apparatus of an ultra wide band is provided to transmit audio/video data in real time and non-real time to all rooms of a home or an office by installing an ultra high speed wireless WiMedia UWB network which connects a notebook computer to a plurality of wireless USB devices. A connection unit(21) receives and transmits data and a control signal from a PC to a protocol conversion unit(20) and a control unit(29). The connection unit(21) transmits data received from the protocol conversion unit(20) and the control signal received from the control unit(29) to the PC. The protocol conversion unit(20) converts data received from the connection unit(21) into medium access data, extracts and transmits the received data in the medium access data inputted from an ultra wide band physical layer processing unit(27) to the connection unit(21). The protocol conversion unit(20) sets and manages a medium access slot for a plurality of wireless USB devices so that the plurality of wireless USB devices shares one wireless channel. The ultra wide band physical layer processing unit(27) converts medium access data outputted from the protocol conversion unit(20) into an ultra wide band wireless signal and transmits the converted signal to the wireless USB devices. The ultra wide band physical layer processing unit(27) receives and converts a wireless signal of the ultra wide band received from the wireless USB devices into medium access data, and outputs the converted data to the protocol conversion unit(20). The control unit(29) controls the connection unit(21), the protocol conversion unit(20), and the physical layer processing unit(29).
