The effect of dyeing on the hygral expansion of worsted fabrics. Part 2‐the influence of metal cations

Wool gabardine fabric has been dyed in the presence of several different metal cations. Their influence on setting behaviour and subsequent dimensional properties is detailed. The use of extremely low levels of copper(II) sulphate as a novel dyebath antisetting treatment for wool is also demonstrated.
