Blade pitch control for floating wind turbines: Design and experiments using a scale model

We present experimental results for blade pitch control in a scale model of a floating wind turbine. The blade pitch controller was designed using an H∞ loop-shaping design procedure and its performance was evaluated by using an actual scale model. The experimental results show that the controller has good performance in regulating rotor speed and reducing the platform's pitching motion.
